Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SMEMinds AI Consulting LLP (“SMEMinds”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use the SMEMinds Playbook platform and everything on it — the Playbooks, lessons, films, calculators, prompt and workflow libraries, certificates and hosted applications (the “Service”). We process personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

  • Account and profile: name, email address, mobile number, and the optional business details you provide, such as company name and GSTIN.
  • Billing: the plans you hold, transaction records and invoices. Card and UPI credentials are handled by our payment processor — we never receive or store full payment credentials.
  • Learning activity: module and lesson progress, quiz results, certificates, notes, and the figures you enter into calculators and tools.
  • Technical: device, browser, IP address and usage events, collected to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the Service, record your learning, and issue certificates and tax invoices.
  • To process payments and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To send service messages and support replies, and marketing only where you have opted in.
  • To improve content, tools and platform performance.

3. Legal bases

We process data to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations such as tax invoicing, for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and with your consent where consent is required.

4. Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that let us run the Service — payment processing (Razorpay), cloud hosting and storage, and email delivery — under confidentiality and data-protection terms. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Usage analytics are first-party: page and lesson events are recorded in our own database rather than shared with an advertising network.

5. Data retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and for as long as tax, accounting and legal obligations require. You may request deletion of your account, subject to the records we are required by law to keep.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of material breaches as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you may access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, write to support@smeminds.com. You may also nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as language and theme. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though signing in will not work without the session cookie.

9. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and above and is not directed to children.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email.
