The AI Opportunity Finder — scoring your own tasks properly
The problem
You have twelve candidate tasks and limited time. Everyone in the organisation has an opinion about which one AI should tackle first, and every opinion is based on a different unstated criterion. Without a shared score, the loudest voice wins, and the loudest voice is usually attached to the most visible task rather than the most valuable one.
The workflow
1List candidates
2Score six factors
3Compute total
4Read the components
5Check the brake

What you need
Task: Replying to customer emails asking about their order status. Input is the customer's email; output is a reply with the current status and expected delivery.

What comes back
FREQUENCY 5 — 30 a day is as recurring as it gets. TIME PER INSTANCE 2 — four minutes each is short individually, though two hours a day in aggregate.
Verify before you use it
Human review required. Check every line below before this leaves your screen.
- Is the after-time estimate honest? Any estimate that assumes zero review time is wrong for anything customer-facing.
- Was the PII constraint scored, or waved through? Customer names, addresses and phone numbers going into a consumer AI tier is a real decision that belongs to someone senior.
- Does the weakest-factor analysis point at a data plumbing problem rather than an AI problem? Very often it does — and that is a Module 17 job.
- Confirm the frequency yourself. People routinely overestimate email volume by 30–40%.
