The AI Implementation Score — measuring whether any of this worked
The problem
Your board asks how the AI initiative is going. You say eight people are trained, four workflows are live, and everyone finds it useful. The board asks what changed in the business.

What you need
Workflows in production: stock exception report (daily, ops), customer reply drafts (daily, CS team of 2), lead follow-up drafts (daily, sales), weekly field notes summary. Prompt library: exists, 14 entries, used by 4 of 8 people, 6 entries have verification steps.

What comes back
1. SCORES Usage — 16/20.
Verify before you use it
Human review required. Check every line below before this leaves your screen.
- The UNMEASURED score on output quality is the most useful line. Start the baseline logging now — it cannot be recovered later.
- The automation maintenance gap is a live risk, not just a low score. Two unowned automations is how Lesson 17.5's failures happen.
- Time the other three workflows. Unmeasured savings cannot be claimed to a board and are the commonest reason AI initiatives lose funding.
- Half the team not using the library is the usage finding underneath the 16/20. Worth understanding why.
